Do I need a commercial yellow number plate to offer rides on eZway?↓
No. eZway is exclusively for private, white-plate vehicle owners engaging in non-commercial cost sharing. Because you only recover actual fuel and toll expenses without commercial profit, private vehicle carpooling is permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.
How is the per-seat cost benchmark determined?↓
eZway calculates a transparent cost-sharing ceiling based on ARAI certified vehicle mileage, current petrol/diesel prices, and highway toll fees. Hosts cannot charge commercial taxi rates.
Can I decline a booking request?↓
Yes. As a vehicle owner, you maintain complete autonomy. You can review passenger ratings and profiles, and accept or decline any booking request.
What documents do I need to register as a host?↓
You need: (1) Aadhaar card for KYC verification, (2) Valid Driving License, and (3) Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC). Verification is usually approved within a few hours.
